Swiss Krono inaugurates new board plant supplied by Dieffenbacher

September 13 Swiss Krono inaugurated its new board plant on its premier site in Menznau, Switzerland. All essential machines, from gluing through raw board handling, for the replacement project was supplied by Dieffenbacher.

A highlight of the new plant is the EVOjet P gluing system. It ensures optimum gluing and significant glue savings compared to conventional systems. According to the company the CPS+ press offers optimum board quality, reduced material consumption, highest productivity and lowest lifecycle costs. This new production line in Menznau is the fourth plant with CPS+ in operation worldwide.

Swiss Krono Group has 10 production sites in eight countries including USA, Russia and Ukraina. Their latest new plant was opened last year in Hungary. The site in Menznau Switzerland is alsot the site were the Austrian entrepreneur Ernst Kaindl founded the company in1966. Today the company has customers in 121 countries all over the world and employs around 4500 people. The company with a turnover of 1.8 billion CHF is family owned and the headquarter is in Lucerne, Switzerland.
